Default Mufflied Roaring Noise on Acceleration and Deceleration

Folks,

I'm a novice at this but will try to describe this as best I can. I noted a muffled roar in my 5.4 2003 F150 when accelerating and braking. I've recently had all four rotors turned and new pads, plus had the front bearings replaced, but still the noise. I have 136K on the truck and it runs well other than the noise for the past couple of months. I was wondering if it's the rear differential (may some gear teeth chipped off?) or the rear bearings. The service facility I took it to didn't figure it out. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Worn gears, carrier bearing, wheel bearing etc could be the culprit....

Default Roaring Noise

Appreciate the feedback. I saw another thread by Niteridr and my problem sounds very much like his, and his conclusion is carrier bearings. I'll take it in and have them trouble shoot it and see what they come up with. This gives me some comparative info. THanks for the assist folks.
