Question Miss fire

I have 2011 F150 ecoboost with just over 20000 miles. Just notice that it has a slight miss fire. No engine light on or no codes. Any ideas on what it could be. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

If it was an ignition missfire you would have a light and codes.

In any event the truck is still under warranty, take it in and have them look at it for free.

Will do thanks. I took it once before but they couldn't find anything. They told me that engine was running fine. They found no codes, maybe they will find some now.

I did drivability issues almost exclusively when I worked as a tech at the dealer and your description of a miss fire might be my description of a surge or vibration and any variation of many combinations.

The best thing you could do is go back to the dealer and request a tech ride with you so you can point out what your feeling and let them feel it.

Many times I would have customers come in saying they had a misfire and it would turn out to be a stuck parking brake cable on an already warped brake rotor.

That was just 1 instance LOL not everyone complaining of something was the same, but you get the idea. ..I hope

Ford sends us thru many years of schools and many thousands of hours of classes to determine what a problem is, what is causing it, and how to correct it.

Well at least they did when I was a dealer tech, I like to think they still do.

Anyway get a tech to ride with you so you can SHOW him/her what your concern is. It will be the fastest way to get the problem resolved that much is certain.
