maintenance intervals
Hello everyone, pleased to meetcha!
I've just become the proud owner of an 04 XLT super crew fully loaded with the 5.4. I purchased the truck with 57k on the odometer from a Ford dealership and so far I love it
.
The only issue I have is that the truck did not come with an owners manual which isn't all that big of a deal I suppose. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew what all I should do for the 60k service and if there are any suggested tasks as the truck was pre owned and I don't know how well it was maintained. So far I am thinking oil/filter, tire rotation, air filter, tranny fluid, and possibly spark plugs (what is the interval for this btw assuming they are the stock plugs). I appreciate any and all feedback/suggestions!
Thanks,
BlueScrew

Plugs are rated for 100K but there is a breakage issue. Do some reading on that before you dive in. Changing the fuel filter is an easy DIY job that the dealer will charge you $60 for. To change the fuel filter you need a fuel line release tool. I got mine at autozone for $7 and the filter is $12. It's located on the driverside inside the frame near the cab. Everything else on your list sounds good.
