Default Leveling issues

I’m new to the forum so bear with me if this issue has already been addressed.

i just installed a motofab 2.5 front, 1.5 rear leveling kit the other day. Now I have a rattle/clunk sound when I hit little bumps in the road. My first thought was the sway bar links but they’re tight. Then. I noticed it seams to go away when you put it in 4x4. I torqued the hub nuts as specified to 20 ft/lbs. the vacuum lines are all attached and the 4x4 seems to engage just fine. It’s on a 2014 FX4 with the ecoboost 3.5.

thoughts? Is a hub sticking?

You're experiencing the effects of a level kit that's too high. 2" max and then you'll still likely have issues like you're having as well as accelerated wear on suspension and driveline parts.

Do it the right way and install a true lift kit. Problem solved.

why didn't you install a true leveling kit from the start?

not sure what you mean by a true leveling kit. If referring to the lift on the rear, that part still hasn’t been done, only the front has been lifted.

i plan on removing the lift tomorrow. Hopefully that clears the issue. If it does, I’ll save my lunch money until I can afford a true suspension lift.

im just curious as to why it makes the noise in2 Wheel but not 4by.

I have the same kit on my truck, 2.5” level in the front and 1.5” in rear and I’ve never had any issues.

that would be my luck. I removed the lift, now I have a whining issue. So who knows, I’ll be taking it to the shop soon to get the front driveline checked out. Bad hub or vacuum actuator, something isn’t right.
