Don't forget to lube up that parking brake lever's too .. they are known to rust up real bad.

Good evening !!! So I got a late start on my front brakes, and finished the front drivers side where I said I have been hearing a hum as I accelerate it gets louder and as I turn the steering wheel to the left its way worse. Brakes were well needed, passenger side tomorrow, then back next week... I am sorry to say though that at this point after my test drive, that the noise is still there. I can't imagine it being the steering pump as it doesn't roar when turning right, and the rotor has the hub assembly right in it, so there is nothing to pack.. John

Proud of myself driver side front brakes complete. pads were thin, and rotor needed replacing. Having said that though, noise is still there. I couldn't imagine it being the steering pump, as it makes no hum turning towards the right, just the left and louder as I accelerate .... Tomorrow I will do the passenger side, next week the rear. Hope to figure the noise out. It sure sounds like it's coming from the left front...

The hum noise has been solved. But where I thought I heard it from the drivers side it was actually from the passenger side.. Well next week on to the back brakes. Now at least I have all the tools needed for the job. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts on this matter !!!!
