3 ideas come to mind:

You missed a leak.

Clean/Replace MAF.

Do a battery disconnect to reset fuel trims.

i forgot to mention i reoiled (accidentally heavily) the k&n filter, will that throw off the maf?

thanks for taking the time to assist...

i have been searching this forum, seems like a common issue,

i disconnected the battery before i bought the scanner, and the code came back, after 1 shutdown,( but i never fixed the leaks)

does the scanner do the same thing? when i delete the code? it comes back after 1 shutdown.

i'll spray some stuff on the maf, what is good?

it had a misfire on #4 and i had to change the coil and plugs... that code went away...

immediately the lean code came up, it did not show with the misfire... i broke a plastic tube and joined it wityh a hose, after the code i zip tied the hose ends... i think i cause the code...

the engine runs so much better with the new coil and thus creates more vacume and that overwhelmed the marginal crumbly old hoses and i changed all that, the beast is burning rubber everywhere....

Use a MAF cleaner, do not use anything else on it but a MAF cleaner, but I do not think this is your problem since its just one bank. I think you have a vacuum leak or a weak injector. Thats the way I would go looking for it. Find a shop that has a smoke machine to find your vacuum leak. It wont cost much for them to smoke it, then go from there.

okay got around to blowing cigar smoke into it, seems like some is coming out of the erg valve... wouldn;t it throw a code>? if it were bad.

pull the hose on top and no idle change while running

i used alcohol and qtips to touch the maf wire, just for cleans sake, looks clean now and seems to run okay....

i don't know what i did, cleaning the maf sensor, disconnecting the battery for an hour or pushing on all the vacuum connectors, or vacume testing the egr.... but the engine idles smooth, accelerates like gliding on ice, and best of all, knock on wood... no codes...

did the fuel cleaner finally cleared up the injector nozzle?
