Hi there first I have a 2007 F150 4.2 5spd. Two days ago in first gear a faint knocking noise started coming from the shifter area until put into second then noise went away. Today it progressively got louder and is in all gears. Cant take off in 1st or it pops similar to when your rearend snaps a gear off. If I take off is second it works fine. No noise in reverse. Anyone have any insight into what this may be until I have time to drop the tranny? I have to go to OKC for a wedding so I wont be tearing anything apart until Monday when I get back. Any help is appreciated!!! TIA
