kickback cable? efi?

Default kickback cable? efi?

Never heard of a kickback cable before. maybe because ive never owned a car without and efi system. do cars with efi systems have kickback cables?

Are you speaking about a "Kickdown cable" ? If so they are used for downshifting the transmission when you mash the gas pedal. Early trucks used a rod for the same reason. New trucks use electronic solenoids instead of a rod or cable so none will be present on a late model truck.

yes the kickdown cable. ive been doing so much reading lately that i got mixed up. thanks for clearing that up for me. so my 68 f150 with the 302 v8 should have one?

Yes. The rod will be on the drivers side of the carb. It will travel down to the trans and hook to the shifter linkage
