Default Intermittent Starting Problems

Starting about a month ago, my 1999 F150 had trouble starting sometimes. It will turn over but will not start. Twice I have gone into a store and came back out only having it not start up again. It started up fine before that. Recently it had gone a week starting just fine but has one again left me stranded. If I get someone to jump me off it will eventually crank. Talking to people at parts store, they said could be fuel pump or coil. I bought coil but did not put it in yet because I can't really afford to replace parts that are fine. It idles fine and runs well other than the starting issue. There is no knocking or anything like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your fuel pressure. Mine was intermittent and pressure test showed 10 lbs and then 30. I changed just the pump on the assembly for under 100.
