Default Interesting issue

I parked my '17 f150 on a slight hill this weekend at our hunting camp. Since the truck was low on gas and the truck was parked front end down, it ran out of gas. So I slipped it in neutral and rolled to a flat spot where the truck started right up. this was around 6pm (time is relevant). once the truck started, I drove to the gas station and on the way I noticed that the remaining miles on the gas gauge dropped 50 miles and the time on the clock was 11:15. i drove a little longer and it flipped back to 92 miles and 6:15 which was the appropriate time. Can anyone think of any reason for the clock to change after running out of gas? makes no sense to me.

Don't run your tank that low.

Were you going 88mph when the clock jumped ahead?
I've heard the flux core capacitor does things like that at that speed.

Agreed - try and keep at least 1/4 tank. Supposedly the fuel will help keep the fuel pump a little cooler hence letting it last a little longer.
