Default Interceptor trans swap

First time posting but I'm out of ideas. Trans packed up and headed south, so I got a deal on a trans from an interceptor 80k for $20. It's super nice, actually have service history on it and the fluid was a nice bright red when I drained it. It a 4r70w, same as what I had, but with the PI codes. Problem here is I can not get the driveshaft to go back in. Even have the slip yoke from said car. And it's the same length as the truck slip yoke, 5" shaft length, so no joy. I need some honest opinions here, am I really gonna have to have the driveshaft shortened or is there a shorter yoke out there in the universe that anybody knows of?

There is a master spline and it'll only go in one way. If you look into the yoke you'll see it.
