Does anyone know the location of the air conditioner evaporator on the 1992 f150 xlt 5.0 302 ?

Open the hood and look at the passenger side firewall, see that big silver or black canister looking thing, that is the accumulator, it is attached to the evaporator in that big plastic compartment that is attached to the fire wall.

I see it and looks like the black canister comes apart in two pieces... is that true? And can I do the replacement with out going behind the glovebox?

The case that holds the evaporator core is two pieces and yes it comes out from the engine compartment. IIRC there may be some bolts under the dash you need to remove.
