Default Ignition Problem

Hello,

I own a 2003 V6 F150, Manual w/ about 80k miles.

The other night I was using the truck to try and teach my g/f how to drive stick (bad idea) anyway she stalled the truck out a couple of times and one stall out when she pushed the key back to restart, the truck wouldn't start.

The Symptoms are the lock cylinder still spins with the key in it, but won't spin with the key out. The Truck is stuck in the Accessory or On position atm, I can't completely turn it off or crank it (I have the battery detached atm) The key still goes through all the normal rotations as if it worked, but the truck doesn't react the way it should, almost as if the key cylinder has become detached from the truck entirely.

Any ideas on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

... im at a loss with the key not coming out but you may want to look into "ignition actuator" not even sure if your truck is equipped... also maybe replace the ignition switch?
