Default Ignition Module problem?

Greetings,
I have an 87 F150 with a 302 engine that was running just fine until Saturday afternoon. I drove a short trip to the store and just as I got there the engine died, tried to fire back up, died, tried again then just died. My first thought was fuel pump, but the pressure at the fuel rail was normal. Well it sprayed when I pressed the pin. I don't have a gauge. My next thought was Ignition Module. I had a friend come out with a used module he had on an old motor. We replaced the module and the engine fired right up. However, while it allowed me to limp the truck home, it has no power at all. It was like it had a lawn mower engine under the hood. Plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor are all fairly new (<1,000mi). It will start fine, idles fine, will rev ok, but has no power at all.

I would be grateful for any helpful suggestions?

Bob....
