I to am a granpa to four little guys. Ages are 7 yrs to 10 months. Cant wait to get them out shooting.
I know what you are talking about regarding the separate circuts. Been there and done that. The last time I worked on my fathers house electrical he wanted me to install an aditional outlet in one of the basement circuts so that he could plug in a freezer. I isolated the circuit, and came up with a box location that my father liked and went to cut the wires where the new box was to be installed. Unknown to me my father switched the breaker on before I cut into the romex. There was soon a flash of light, I almost fell off of the short stepladder I was on and my $20 diagonal cutters are now a romex wire stripper. My father got a chuckle out of that and took me out to dinner. Now, when ever I help anyone with an electrical issue I make them help me by keeping their hand in their pockets and stay away from the breaker box.
