do you change your oil?

04 5.4, i change it every 3000 miles, give or take a couple hundred, finding time to do it is the tough part lol

 

I have been told that depending on the oil you run you can go up to 5,000 miles before doin an oil change

 

Normal oil you can go about 5000 but synthetic you can get 10-15k out of it

 

synthetic or not i cant see going 15000 miles without a change, i dunno guess ill waste a little extra money to help me feel like my truck is being maintained better lol

 

I change mine every 3-5 months depending on how many miles I have on that change. I put full synthetic in, and only put on about 1500-2000 miles during that time frame. It can get costly at almost 50 bucks an oil change, but I feel better having fresh oil every couple months. Now working at the dealership, I will only put about 1/2 a mile/average a day. During summer I may walk to work.

 

I have Ford do mine at around 4k...they threw in the ESP plane when I bought it, so why not have them do it.
