Hot mess...
Hi guys and gals, it seems like my truck is just falling apart. My parking brake light stays on in my dash but works just fine. It's a little loose but still hold the truck in place. Either my plugs and wires are bad or my cats are plugged cuz at lower RPMs (1100-1500) at light accel I get what seems like a transmission shudder. Leaning more towards bad cats due to the extreme sulfur(rotten eggs) smell. I have a shorted wire between the 4wd switch and the solenoid. Mechanic told me that cuz they hooked aux power to the solenoid and it engaged the 4wd just didn't have the money to find the short. And yesterday cleaning the cab I noticed the passenger side floor was soaked in water. Not coolant cuz it didn't smell like it. Didn't see where it was dripping. Starting to feel like I'm up **** creek here. Any suggestions?
1. you need a new switch on the PB pedal under the dash. 2- you need a tune up, plugs wires fuel system cleaned (injectors) Try fuel additive Seafoam is good. It will help clear the cats too. 3 - the 4x4 bypass is to eliminate the dash to T-case wires. That will probably require a harness and some $$$$. 4. Water on the floor is usually a leaking heater core OR a clogged A/C condensation drain. If you're running the A/C and don't see water on the ground outside after about 10 minutes this is the cause. Locate the tube under the truck and clear it with a small wire or compressed air. Finally life is just a long string of adventures. Enjoy the ride. When you get to my age the choices become limited. Only you can decide how you will seize the day. Good luck
