Default Help w/ 4x4

I purchased a 2007 F150 super crew 4x4 in Dec and just used the 4 wheel drive mode for the first time. When ingaged in 4high the front end hops and jumps when turning sharper corners. Does anybody have any ideas what is causing this?

Normal.

Thats how the 4wd system is going to work on dry pavement. The front wheels and rear wheels are locked together in the transfer case, when the truck turns, the front wheels need to turn faster than the rears(since the rears track inside the front) and that causes binding in the 4wd system.

Don't use 4HI or 4low on dry pavement.

Agree with the above, its normal. Avoid using to much power during tight turns, it actually has to do with the turn radius exceeding the u-joints ability to totate the axle. They bind in tight turns, engineering stuff.
