Default Help with timing!

I have been in the process of changing my Oil Pump Gears. I followed what I thought was the right timing instructions to take the chains off, but it was for the wrong year. I now have all the information I need and have verified it is correct. This is where I am at though. 2016 F-150 5.0L V8

My timing would be off and is off as I went to put the chains back on and they do not line up. I have been told I need to "reset" the cams to the neutral position.

Can I just take the caps off, move the cams to neutral, then move forward?

When I take the cams off, do I need to then turn the crankshaft to a certain position before I start putting it back together?

I know little about timing and need some major help! Thank you!
