Default Help with oil filter

I just bought a 2005 Ford F150 FX4 4x4 Crew Cab 5.4 liter motor.
I am doing an oil change and the oil filter I bought,(FL 820S)motorcraft is a lot bigger than the oil filter that is on it right now. I know i need to use a oil filter with a anti backflow valve, but is there some type of adapter i need to be using to make this bigger oil filter fit correctly?

Nope, that is the right filter...no adapter needed.

The tiny filter that was in there before is what you get from a quicky oil change place...nice, huh? Found the same thing on my 2005, was just as shocked as you, put the Motorcraft in, no problem.
