My ford fluid level is good just that the steering is hard no funny sounds out of the power steering help me plus my check engine light is on she gets boggy at times plus the 4x4 won't stay engaged what's wrong sad ford owner

 

I would start by getting the codes pulled to see what's up, might give you a better clue as to why it is boggy. Power steering could be a loose belt or pump on the way out. As for the 4X4 slipping out it would be useful to have the year of the truck. I know of several people having problems with vacuum hoses collapsing.

 

The truck is a 2006 xlt 5.4 I never had any problems with her before until now it happens Ll at once

 

if the p/s is electronically assisted by the computer, one of those codes may be limiting the amount of assist your getting. not positive if this may be the case on yours but ill see what i can find out.
