Default gas pedal doesnt work?

well this one is just new to me cause iv never seen this happen before. wen i got into my truk the other day and pushed the pedal to start moving, nothing happened. i find the pedal is resting against full throttle position but the truk is idling so i thot it mite have become disconnected from the throttle body but all the linkages were connected. open to ideas

The cable has broken or one of the crimped fittings has pulled out from either end of the cable. In any case a new cable assembly is probably in your future.

well the truck is an 2002, and i thot it was a broken cable but i couldnt push or pull the gas pedal. on a side note im not sure if this makes any difference but wen i go under the hood of the truck while its running i cant pull the throttle open to rev it up but i drove it the nite before and had no problems at all.

this shouldnt make any difference but the morning this all happened it was -12 degrees outside and snow is packed up underneath basicaly the hole truck from wen i got stuk in a snow drift the day before but it drove fine once i got pulled out. Iv driven it wen it was -45 degrees outside and iv had way more snow paked under the truck

well i finaly got back in town after working out of town all week and i was finaly able to look at my truck a little better. so i decided to pull the throttle body off and the first thing i saw was water was frozen on my airfilter. then i found that water had frozen the flap shut so i was able to break it loose and get the frozen water out so now it runs fine
