Default FX4 Interior Maintenance

So my FX4 has the appearance package. Contains the leather seats with cloth in the middle. I go fishing a lot and don't want to damage the cloth inserts. Leather is easy to wash off (with my past trucks). But with this I'm not too sure. What precautions do you all take to protect the seats?

I've thought about scotch guard, but I don't want the chemical smell or damage it if it's not compatible. The other thing I'm thinking off is getting seat covers to put on on days I go fishing.

Grumpy, both of your courses of action are what I would do.....but both. Scotch guard for day to day and a cover for fishing. Not sure how long you want to keep your truck but for such an investment it seems prudent.

The inserts are not cloth. Its Alcantara. Do a google search on it.
I tried to post a link but I don't think it worked.
I wouldn't spray anything on it until you know what kind of care it requires.

Tire smoke, The link works. The material is polyester/polyurethane which will accept Scotch Guard w/o staining or smell and can be cleaned with a small wand steam cleaner like a Big Green Clean Machine w/o damage. I've used one for 20 years. + seat covers when needed.
