Default fuel pump?

I have a 2004 fx4 the other day i was cruiseing down the road and i felt my cruise disengage so i gave it a little gas just to see if it was a glich. And nothing happened no rpm gain no mph gain so i pulled over and it stalled on me. So i put it in park and started it put it in drive and it stalled out again. I started it again and left it in park and it kinda wanted to stall again but got under control of its self so i gave it gas again but(still in park) and it was fine did that for about a minute i thought okay we are cool put it in drive and it stalled again!! I started it again and put it in reverse and it stalled so i called my dad for a tow and when he got there it would not even start for him just cranks over. Is it my fuel pump or something else?

Fuel is always the most likely issue. Start by removing fuel filter in the frame. Prior to reinstalling the new filter turn the key to "on" and check for fuel flow. NO flow most likely means a bad fuel pump. Good luck. PS Score 1 for the dad rescue. :-)
