Does the fuel injector cleaner you dump into your fuel really work? Is it something you wanna do or just kind of a doesn't matter thing?

 

I just ran a 8 dollar bottle of STP fuel system cleaner which is supposed to do it all. It may have done something and helped but I cannot tell whatsoever. If that helps. I know some folks that swear by adding a bottle of STP fuel additive every other tank of gas. But I don't really know.

If your dumping it into your tank to fix an issue it will not work. FIC will not repair a bad injector or a clogged injector, its purpose is from a preventive maint point of view. All FIC does is help the fuel system from gumming up much like Stabalizer does.
Sometimes by running a professional injector cleaner at high pressure directly into the fuel rail you can free up a gummed or sticking injector.
If you are going to use it put it into every 4-5 tanks of fuel. Using it in every tank is overkill .
