does anyone know how to test this module and what is the cost of a new one....I assume it has to come from a dealership and not aftermarket.?

 

Actually it is called the fuel pump driver module-I understand it controls the speed of the electric pump and corrosion has been a big issue.

 

There is no way to test the driver it just fails. I suppose you could look at it and see if it is corroded. The new on is made different and don't corrode like the oe. You can get them from Carquest for much less than the oe.

 

I put a new one on just to be safe-old one was probably ok but you never know
