Just received my FT200 trans filter. It came loose in a cardboard box. I has some dust all over it. Is that the way they come, or has it probably been returned? The rubber bulkhead fitting is there in a sealed motorcraft bag.

 

I believe they come loose in the box but we're out of stock at the moment so I can't pull one to look at.

I would not worry about it. Dust it off and run it. Ideally it should be in a bag for best practices.....but bean counters normally rule.
