Hello Everyone
I have a question regarding my 4wheel drive in my 03 screw. Last winter I went to engage my 4wheel and the front tires would not cooperate. After the snow left I tried again on dry pavement and it went into 4 wheel no problem. Is there any kind of lubrication or maintanence for the hubs. Ford said the chances are you will have to replace the hubs at 360 dollars each. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not so sure about hubs being the problem - There isn't anything there to cause 4x4 problems. There is an actuator on the front axle that you could take a look at, Vacuum controlled thing that slides a collar to engage the front axle.

Thanks for the reply. I have gone under the truck and watch the actuator it is moving freely with at least 1 inch of travel. As I said on dry pavement the 4 wheel engauges as you can tell when tou try to turn the drag on the front wheels is quite evident. Maybe the actuator could have froze up as it is very wet up here in the winter with sudden cold snaps. There is a line of some kind going into the hubs wether it is electrical or vacuum I am not sure have to take a closer look.
