Default Front Driveline Question

I recently developed a harmonic vibration the can be heard and felt in the front of the truck. 2013 F-150 FX4 Crew Cab. When I place in 4WD the truck rides like a dream again. Smooth as can be no vibration. Back in 2WD it returns instantly. Carrier Bearing? or should I look elsewhere? TIA

I’m currently trying to figure this out on my truck. Exact situation.... It’s in the shop as we speak and the techs told me it’s the axle.

So recently I had it in for this loose noise in the front right corner, and they said bearing hub assembly was busted.

Noise came back and I’m now being told that when the hub /bearing was damaged, it must have caused damage to the axle because it’s grooved and turned blue from heat... also it’s dry and that’s why it’s clanking around.

I think they didnt didn’t grease it properly but I’m not sure... they’re waiving some labor costs.....
