Default Front Differential Leaks

2014 F-150, 4x4, ecoboost 3.5L, 75,000 miles - factory wheels, no modifications. Was replacing an O2 sensor and noticed there was leakage from the front differential. The leak appears to be a seal after the front drive shaft connects into the housing. It's not "dripping", more of a seepage. If it's a seal - how difficult is the repair? Thanks very much for the insights!

As long as it is not dripping oil, I would leave it alone and verify proper oil level a couple time a year.

If that is a pinion seal weeping, it is fairly common. Not a big deal, but I had one switched out under warranty around 60000 miles.

Definitely looks like a pinion seal leak. Its not a terribly hard seal to fix. Definitely keep an eye on it if you aren't able to replace right away.
