Default front axle u-joint problem

I need to replace my front u-joints. The only problem is I'm stuck before I ever get to them. I have a 90 f150 4x4 with automatic hubs. I've removed them and the last part I removed was the spindle nut. I can see I have another nut to remove but have no idea what tool I need or where to get it, been to auto zone and o'rielys, no help. Here is a pic of where my project stands and what I'm stumped by. Please someone help.

That washer looking thing with holes need to come off first then take off the inner nut. When your putting it all back together you need the socket to set bearing preload, and tourqe the outer nut. If you don't do it right you run the possibility of burning the hub bearings up.
