Just had my fuel pump module replaced and now my engine light is on. Truck is running fine, so is this a serious problem and how,what can a novice check before calling repair place?

Drive to the nearest Autozone, Advanced, etc and get yer code(s) read - for free.
Write down the code.
Say 'thanks', and perhaps buy some widshield washer fluid.
Do NOT let them sell you anything related to the code.
Post the code right here in yer thread.

Then we can go to the next step(s).

( BTW - which brand FPDM did you use - did it start with a 'D'? )

Hello MGD, I will go to one of those places today, Not sure what brand, had a mechanic in my home town do the repair and I don't get off work until 5, home by 530pm. So was just wondering if there is anything I could check. I will call the mechanic on my lunch break and see what he can do too. Thanks
