engine starts, run really rough, stalls at idle and won't start again unless the battery is disconnected for several minutes. backfires while trying to keep it running. no codes popping up, but earlier was getting misfires on 2 and 6.

I would check and see if the timing chain guides broke. I'm at about the same mileage as you with an 05 and this just happened to mine causing it to go out of time. And it would backfire and stall.
