Default Engine stalls when idling

I have a 1995 Ford F150. Automatic Trans 302 motor I have a problem that no one can figure out. The problem is that when the truck heats up it stalls out and will not start until you wait for about 15 min. It happens when truck is ildling and foot is off the gas pedal. Happens at redlight or coasting down a hill. I recently have put new plugs, wires, fuel filter, ignition module on it. And is still happening. I took it to my mechanic the last time and said it was probably the ignition module. So he replaced it. He told me he had hooked it up to the scanner and found no codes. He told me i should take it to the ford dealer. I usually work on my own vehicles so i want to avoid this if possible and fix it my self. I put a new fuel pump in a year ago and don't think that its the problem. After it stalls out you still hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key forward. Does any one have any recomendations or any test i can do. I also put injector cleaner in it and dry gas. Any help would be appreciated.

Mike

When it stalls and will not restart does it have spark? Are the injectors working? I need to know these things.

Get a Noid light. Advance Auto should sell them. When the truck will not start unplug a fuel injector and plug the light in. Have someone spin the engine over and see if the light flashes. Need to check the TPS voltage. Ya have to backprobe the wires to the TPS and make sure that you have about .5 of a volt @ closed throttle. With someone SLOWLY depressing the accel pedal see what the voltage does. It should top out about 4.5-4.9 volts @ WOT.
The numbers should climb slowly but not erratically.

Are you running dual exhaust? Had that problem with my Dakota...ran duals, didn't think about it, and then ran the exhaust on the opposite side of the frame rail from the fuel line. Heated up the fuel, caused vapor lock, wouldn't start till the fuel in the lines cooled down.

I have a similar issue on my '90 F150. Did you have any luck getting to the root cause?
