Hello, I have a 2001 Ford F-150 5.4 Lariat, its been having an issue lately where it has been sputtering really bad, it only seems to really do it when you put the truck in D position, it is pretty much fine in either N or P, also the weird thing is that i have noticed that every time the truck sputters you here like a sizzle noise come from engine, it is hard to pin point exactly where the noise is coming from, also thing to note the truck does seem to produce more white smoke than usual as well as water condensation coming out of the tail pipe.

Thank you any help will greatly appreciate it! Truck has major hesitation and bunch of sputtering and i work an hour away so want to solve this issue as quick as possible.

 

Vacuum leak ? Fuel pressure ? Check engine light ?

 

Sounds like a vacuum leak most likely.
