Default Engine rebuild

Looking for some advice, I have a 1997 f150 with a 4.6l in it. The block has a Crack in it behind the water pump. I also have a 5.4l with two bad heads. Can I use the 5.4l block with the 4.6l top end components?

Short answer, I don't know.

BUT, what I would do is go to http://www.fortparts.com and http://www.rockauto.com and pull up the parts for both, then compare their part numbers or dimensions to see if they're indeed the same or not.
