Mine is fixed to. Mine was just the large black wire and it fixed all door buttons, the keyless entry pad and the radio. Strangely enough it had been repaired before but just by reconnecting the wire at the break. I added extra wire and gave it plenty of room. As for the boot, I just cut mine off and then when I got the wires repaired I just wrapped it back around the wires and put it back in place.
