Electrical issue maybe? Help !
Hey guys , i need some help before I go spending money, just want to get a general idea of what might have caused my a/c to go out.
About 2 weeks ago I was on the highway going about 65-70 mph when I got cut off some jerk cutting in and out of traffic. Well when he got in front of me I braked really hard because Im sure I would have hit him, anyways I slammed on the brakes till a near complete stop and noticed my a/c which had been working flawlessly up until that hard brake started getting humid and before I made it home it just started blowing hot air, I checked the compressor and it is not turning on when I turn the a/c on, So I checked the a/c compressor relay and the fuse, and they were both fine even bought new ones from oriley's just to make sure and nothing just hot air.
Does anyone know of anything else that might have caused to go out it just seems weird to me that it just went out from slamming on the brakes. I want to make sure I check everything I can before I take it to a mechanic to check it out.
truck did have enough freon and the a/c control unit was replaced about 3 years ago
My truck is a 2003 f150 Harley Davidson edition.
