my 1995 ford f150 5.8 v8 has been having issues where wehn i go to accelerate it will rev up then fall on its face. it used to do it for about 2 minutes into the drive then fix itself and work normally but now its doing it constantly. it does no fall on its face at all when im in reverse 2nd or 1st only when in drive. ive replaced all my spark plugs, wires, adn distributor cap/roto. i just ordered a new overdrive switch thinking it could be that, sometimes when its falling on its face and i shut overdrive off itll run okay then start acting up again even with overdrive off. Any ideas what the problem is?

 

Make sure the throttle body hold down bolts have not worked their way loose.
