Default Update - 12-4-2020

Hey guys,

I called the garage again today. After replacing all 4 cam phasers a couple weeks ago, they discovered two of them were “bad”. I don’t know if I buy that or not. They said the parts were on order and would be in on Monday. I should get the truck back on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Im thinking of hiding cameras to see what "phaserz" are really being changed.

Default Update 12-17-20

Hey guys, just wanted to give you all another update.

So I talked with Ford via their hotline and ended up filing a claim. They contacted the local dealer to find out what was going on. I was told my truck would be ready by the end of the day on 12-17 and they had it ready the morning of 12-16.

I ended up getting a phone call from a Ford customer service rep and they did say they would credit me my last two month’s truck payments.

I picked up the truck the evening of 12-17. The mechanic was out of the shop so they didn’t have a service slip ready that said what was replaced. I should be getting that on Monday the 21st.

I’ve driven the truck about 600 miles this weekend and discovered a tick after the truck is warmed up. It only seems to happen after coming off the highway, but it didn’t make this sound before the repair. I’m going to get it on video for the Ford garage and probably take it back into the shop on Monday. The cold start rattle is gone for now. I just hope it doesn’t blow up before the new truck shows up...
