Default Door Locks

Hi, new to the forum and just bought a 2008 f150 lariat, then I noticed something. The only way I can lock or unlock the truck is with the key fob and the buttons inside the truck. I can't use my key to unlock it, I'm just thinking if the battery dies for some reason then I'd kind of be screwed. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated, just want to get this sorted out.

Exactly, my key won't budge the lock. I don't know if it is me or the truck.

I just bought a used car for my daughter. She tried to open the truck with the key, and it wouldn't turn. She has a trunk button on her key fob with works fine. I kinda wonder if your lock isn't turning because the previous owner always used the fob and the lock is stuck. I've had my 13 for a year and a half and I can't remember ever opening it with the key. Just a thought. You might try soaking the lock with WD-40.
