Hi all,

Hope to get some advice on how to fix an electrical issue I am having. The dome light is not coming on when I open any of the doors on my 2004 f150 new body style 5.4L. The dome light works when in the on position but not in the auto. Also I am having difficulties with my stereols staying on after opening the door (I have to actually turn off the stereo when exiting). Does anyone have any advice/ wiring diagrams for this issue?

The wires behind the boot in the door jambs break. Common problem. Pull back boot and resolder broken wires.

 

Starting on page 7 of the linked wiring diagram should help you identify wire colors and destinations once you get that boot opened up.
