Default Do the whole arm?

Hey guys I have an 01 F150 and the bushing and ball joints are bad. Now I have ball joints already, would it just be easier to replace the bushings instead of buying a whole new control arm assembly?

i would do the whole arm and be done with it, usually the bushings(if you can even get them separate) have to be pressed out/in

If memory serves correct, the factory upper ball joints aren’t replaceable. The lowers will rattle around and are replaceable.

So, you definitely need two whole upper control arms. May as well make it four with grease zerks.

if you look at the top of the arm we're the ball joints would come through. You can see a collar that is flanged inward. Hose it down with penetrative oil and put a gear puller on it pushing it downward. It seems to be a compression fit. That's what I'm going to do..as an industrial designer and appearance that's how it was put together..comes apart the same way..
