Default Do I just need an Alignment....

...or is there more to it? Truck is about 1 year old, 2014 SCab 4x4 EB. I travel up and down I95 2x a week (170 miles one way) for work, so most of the miles are highway. Truck has 23,600 miles on it. I guess I should have noticed this earlier, but I didn't.

On the passenger side front tire, on the outside of the tire, it is very worn down. Driver's side is worn a bit (again, on the outside), but not near as much as the passenger side. Pics are attached; bald one is the passenger side. The Rear tires are fine.

Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

With 23,000 miles it is not likely that you have worn parts in the front end.
Take it in for alignment and ask them to inspect first. Should be no extra charge.

The toe is too far in, alignment will fix that but it wont fix the tires.

Just curious, but can you offer an opinion as to how this happens on a brand NEW truck, which has never been off-road, and drives on smooth/pothole-free roads 99.9% of the time? The roads here in FL where I am are very good.

Was the alignment bad from the get-go, or does every truck, no matter what they're driving on, need an alignment every 20,000 miles or so? Thanks.

Probably not correctly aligned from the factory. I don't know if Ford would fix it under warranty or not. The only time I get alignments are when I've change front end parts. Other times are bigger tires, suspension lifts, or acident/damage. Otherwise, you shouldn't need an alignment. I watch my tire wear and have them rotated regularly. I've gone 100,000+ miles with no abnormal tire wear, and no alignments.

It happened very frequently when I worked at the dealer, don't know if it's misadjusted from the line or if the transporters had some affect as they will pull the vehicle down and anchor it with the suspension compressed.

Alignment's are covered 12/12000 and I did a ton of them.
