Default Differentials

will be changing my differential oil on my 02 lariat 4x4 this weekend and was wondering what brand people like? thanks eh...

not sure if this applies to you but my 03 xtr with posi rear needs a special additive to the gear oil hope this helps

depends if youre diff is limited slip or not. but you have to 75-140 gear lube in. They make an additive to put in with the gear lube. I have used mobile 1 and I actually like this stuff because it comes with the additive in it already. Buts about 17 bucks a bottle. So I have been using royal purple lately.

Royal Purple, Mobil 1, or Motorcraft are all good. Motorcraft being the most expensive out of the three though and it does not contain the friction modifier like the other two.
