Default Cut wire.

1996 4X4 which I bought used...noticed a wire (white) under the steering column was cut. (see pics)

Does anyone know where this wire went to?

Thanks,

Kelly

It's a ground from some previously installed (and subsequently removed) aftermarket accessory. It could have been anything, CB radio, radar detector, etc.

I wouldn't be concerned about that white wire looks like ground wire as the previous poster stated.

However that pink or red looking wire looks like it's coming from the fuse panel if it is and it's live the end looks bare I would be concerned with that one touching metal and blowing a fuse or worse.
