So I was looking under the hood of my truck tonight, just because it is new and I like looking under there (500 km) ...I saw this orange thing sitting on a front cross member so reached up under the front of the rig and grabbed it. No idea where it came from, looks like a plug of some sort, and it's hollow from the flat (base) side going in.
Any idea what this is or what it came off of? It hardly seems like it could be anything important I just could not wrap my head around what it might be!
Hard to tell...but it was sitting around the middle of the front cross member of the frame in this picture...I could lay down I'm front of the truck and reach up under the front bumper to grab it..thanks for looking, I realize this is probably a stupid question but I have no sweet clue what it is.

Looks like it may have been a temporary alignment pin for some body part and got left behind, we use to find all kind of stuff doing a pre delivery inspection at the dealer.

Yeah that could be!.. I was wondering if it could have been some kind of plug from pre-assembly, I'm guessing all kinds of them just get tossed to the floor or dropped.
