Default Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I have been reading that the 2012 5.0 motor has a Synthetic blend in it but the 2013 uses full synthetic if I read my owners manual correct, if so why the change for the 13's ?

Thats funny just looked at you sig and I see your on the Best Bank also, I'm in Gretna.
Anyways I knew the motor would take allot of oil since my 2012 5.0 Mustang held 8 quarts, but still why the change to full syn ?

Since the mid 2000's ALL brands of vehicles started increasing the tolerances of the engines internal parts. No longer is there any kind of break-in fluids (oils)used that required an oil change at 500 miles. Full Synthetic has been tested along side of Synthetic Blends and there were amazing differences especially in piston /ring wear (up to 1 thousands more with blended oil after 10,000 miles) I'm glad to see Ford join the Big-3 in specing full synthetic. P.S. don't use it in an older motor with high miles. It will blow oil.....
