Coolant swap?
Gold to green and maybe back to gold?
I've got a 09 f150 4.6l 3v.
A while back I had a shop replace a coolant pipe under the intake manifold, when I got the truck back I didn't realize for some time that they put green coolant in place of the gold. Figured it was fine and drove around over a couple years like that.
Now I'm thinking about doing a flush and wondering if I should stick with the green or go back to the gold that my manual calls for?
Any thoughts? I know they dont mix well, just wondering if I'm missing out on anything or potentially causing problems by running green instead of gold.

I ended up going back to the recommended gold coolant.
It was much harder than anticipated to get ALL of the green coolant out. In fact it never did come out crystal clear, but it was no longer green. I assume it was all diluted enough to drain what I could and add the regular gold coolant.
