Computer updating for codes
I all most totally re-built my 2004 F-150 5.4, 3valve and the computer was unplugged for 6 weeks. I have driven the hell out of it and it still hasn't loaded all the codes into the on board computer as the DTCs so that I can get a smog check.
I have an EDGE programmer that I placed into the truck to use for towing. It keeps saying that not all the checks are completed so it cant do a diagnostic check for trouble codes. And when I take it to get the smog passed, they say that not all the codes have been checked by the computer and that they can't smog it. They just say keep driving it until it sees all the checks then bring it back.
Has anyone else had this problem getting the computer to see all the checks so that the computer can do a check of all the codes.
